Hello!
I am Nimisha, welcoming you to “thegoodlifeprojects”
A MINDFUL APPROACH TO LIVING
Through this initiative, I help heal and expand your heart, to live a life full of awareness, purpose and inclusivity, by tuning in and expanding out- The mindfulness way.
I am an ex- corporate professional who dabbled with jobs in marketing and brand management for over a decade before getting this huge nudge from the universe to get going and work on something beyond the daily hustle of life. And that was when “thegoodlifeprojects” was born. The whole idea was and is to pick up projects which really create a meaningful impact in the way we conduct our lives- In a mindfulness led way. As a part of this initiative, I work on stress management, holistic wellness, healing and providing guidance and mentoring to lead a more fulfilling and purposeful life.
Through this initiative, I help you co-create a mindful, aware and an inclusive state of being which enables you to tune in to your true self and expand much beyond yourself. And for this reason, I prefer to be called an expansion coach(For the need of an analogy to introduce myself).
In terms of academics, my last college degree was an MBA in the year 2009, post which I worked across different sectors in the area of Brand and Marketing. And thanks to my job, I got an incredible experience of connecting with consumers across geographies, cultures and strata. And as they say, nothing touches you more and changes you more than travelling!
The numerous interactions that I have had in my travels (not just the official ones! Haha. I love to travel for culture and local intricacies), always tugged somewhere inside me with a thought- Deep inside, all of us crave for the same experience, irrespective of where we come from. The difference lies just in the way or the means we achieve that. Are we all not eventually striving for the same joy we all feel in our hearts?
We earn, we burn, we mingle, we strive, we study, we travel. We do so many things and so much more. And if only we could just ask ourselves this deeper question of what is all this for? The answer most of the times zeroes down to- Feeling a sense of expansion often termed as JOY!
Now what blocks us from feeling this joy?
Isn’t it our own anxieties, apprehensions, expectations and baggages?
We may tell ourselves a story which fits our bill and believe so strongly in it and it becomes a defining boundary for us to operate. And striving within this boundary, we use means and mediums to still feel that joy inside. What we forget in the due course is the distinction between these mediums and the objective. When the means get projected and affirmed as the end in itself, the whole process becomes a never ending loop or much better put- A maze; from which sub consciously we don’t want to get out of.
Over the years, with a background of my personal yoga and mindfulness practice, I think I developed a strong interest in doing my little bit to opening that small vent which can lead us to come out of the maze and live a clear, joyful life.
So, I got a formal certification in yoga and now I am a World Yoga Alliance certified instructor and also a mindfulness practitioner certified in Workplace Stress Management from the University of California, Berkeley.
I strongly believe that being in a state of joy is a right that everyone deserves and should be something that is inherently our second nature!
What I do now, is to help you:
- Be in the present moment, with full awareness and accountability,
- Help open you a bit to let that light flow in,
- Understand your own body and emotions and everything around in an objective way
so that,
You get a step closer to living an empowered, clear, conscious, fulfilling and absolutely stress free life.
Through this initiative, I work with Individuals, Groups and Institutions for co-creating a module for a balanced physical and mental wellness , while working on their stress coping ability and optimizing their productivity.
I also work with Students and Kids for instilling mindfulness amongst them to raise their attention span, reduce stress and optimize their cognitive skills. Research shows that mindfulness, if used in educational institutions, can provide a range of cognitive, emotional, and social benefits. And that is what I aim to do; because I strongly believe in developing a more mindful and high EQ next generation!
As a part of Corporate reach out, I conduct workshops, immersions and sessions by merging my corporate experience with mindfulness; for effective workplace stress management and personal growth.
My workshops are aimed at:
- Reducing negative stress
- Enhancing employee productivity and responsibility
- Improving relationships at workplace
- Improving mental well being of participants and much more.
